◊ CAC Exec Board Applications!

The application process has three parts:
1) The written application (below) is due by 11pm on Friday, April 30th.
2) All applicants will give a one minute speech during our general meeting on Tuesday May 4, after which the club will vote on the applicants per position.
3) During the remainder of that week (May 5-9) the top three applicants per position will have a short interview with the senior board members and ACS staff, and on Tuesday of the following week (May 11) board members will be announced.

Hi Everyone!
Welcome back from spring break! Hope you guys had a wonderful, relaxing, and sun filled break. This is going to be an awesome quarter because Relay for Life is only 19 days away!!! Get excited! I'm excited :)
Here are some quick reminders for this week:
1. FUNDRAISER! CAC will be attending a TV show taping for Dance Your Ass Off on April 8, 2010 (Thursday of 2nd week) 3:00 to 9:00pm at the CBS studios. Its going to be loads of fun so don't forget to sign up on the website!. Remember we need at least 10 people in order for our club to get our $15 per attendee. Non-club members are more than welcome to come so invite a friend, significant partner, family member, and/or other acquaintance!! Rides andTREATS will be provided. Remember, all the money comes directly back to us and helps us fund our events!
2. There's a team captain meeting TODAY! Stick around and hang out, because Allie and Jake are amusing, and you'll learn something or take away a good idea!
3. We're still a bit short of our $150,000 goal, so we are challenging the committee (because if we don't raise our $100, how can we expect participants to??) If we reach $30,000 by meeting tomorrow, you will have the chance to pie some of your favorite event chairs! (Bribery? - whatever works!) And we'll be beating SC!
Finally, tonights meeting will be in Kinsey 1200B at 7PM. Please come decked out in your gorgeous relay t-shirts! In fact, wear them all day. or week. :-)

◊ Happy New Years and Welcome Back!

Hello and Happy New Years! I hope Santa treated you all very well :-).
Just a couple quick things to start off CAC 2010:
1) Our first meeting of the quarter will be Next Tuesday, Jan 12 at 7pm in Moore 100. Our regular meetings are in Kinsey 1220b, as Erin mentioned in the earlier e-mail... the scheduling office had some issues and had to schedule week 2 and week 9 in Moore instead of Kinsey. Sorry for the confusion, but shoot.. it's a nicer room and closer to the apartments (sorry sorority peeps :P).
2) Our mid-year CAC/Relay retreat is set for all day Saturday the 23. Mark the calendars and get ready for an adventure =). Expect an email with all the logistics Tuesday night!
We've got several other big events coming up in a couple months (Marrow Drive, Relay Kick off 2, RELAY!!, and many more), so stay tuned! Take it easy and hope to see you all soon,

Although there was a quite an interesting start to GASO (due to protestors for the Regent's meeting) - it ended wonderfully! We watched as people slowed down to read the facts from the dead bodies on the ground... it was pretty funny =). We also handed out TONS of pencils, "kiss me - I don't smoke!" stickers, and hookah fact fliers too!
